Do you recall if the part number I have in my link is correct?
RAM-B-309-7U

Thanks,

I use one similar to thisone RAM-B-309-1U, except mine has two 1" balls and I mounted mine to the clutchslide. I wanted to be able to mount two devices and be able to make any adjustments while maintaining throttle control.

Great, so I am indeed looking at the right one. I looked at yours as well with the two balls....:smiler:

Sounds like a good idea. But is there really room for two accessories that close together.....or is it more for placement options of a single device?

Red, yes there is. I use the top ball to mount my video cameraandthe side ball to mount my GPS or IPOD. I usethe 3" arm for the GPS/IPOD and a shorter arm for the video camera (shorter arm is more stable).

Most of the RAM mount configurations suggest a longer "arm" than is really needed.

I chose the short one http://www.ram-mount.com/CatalogResults/PartDetails/tabid/63/partid/082065077045066045050048049085045065/Default.aspx

With the mount referenced above: http://www.ram-mount.com/CatalogResults/PartDetails/tabid/63/partid/082065077045066045051048057045049085/Default.aspx

With the cradle for my device: http://www.ram-mount.com/CatalogResults/PartDetails/tabid/63/partid/082065077045072079076045071065050052085/Default.aspx

Remember the ball to attach to the back of the cradle: http://www.ram-mount.com/CatalogResults/PartDetails/tabid/63/partid/082065077045066045050051056085/Default.aspx

Maybe the suction cup to allow use in a car ...

I fear that the threads in the reservoir to which the mount attaches, are fragile ( compared to the steel attach bolts ). I would not want a lot of weight or leverage on this mount point for fear of damaging those threads. If you're traveling rough roads, the attached devices will do a lot of shaking about. A longer attach arm results in more leverage exerted on the mount.
