Howdy all,

Now it won't crank over. Put some gas back in, got 2 bars on the fuel guage, won't crank over. Have 12V ok, instruments light up ok. Is there a switch / sensor somewhere? Checked the repair / maintenance manual, haven't found anything yet.

thx,

Forrest

Jump across the starter solenoid and see if it turns over. If it does chack out the wiring, ground, solenoid. there also is a fuse, either on the solenoid or under the seat

Check to make sure it's in neutral, and check the kill switch on the handle bars.

BTW, I assume you meant to list it as a GL1200 Aspencade 1987?

I'll ck for the fuses. I had the seat off, didn't see one, I'll dig. I jumped the solenoid & got it to crank.

I would say you have a bad connection or bad solenoid.
