That almost looks like the old Weber pony carb I used to "upgrade" VW motors with. I believe they were stock Pinto equipment.

Yes, I understand the mapping chore.

I think that's why I kept a few of those old pony carbs around now that I think about it. There were a few companies selling single carb kits using the Weber progress 2 barrel for the early Wings but the ratings were back and forth. I have one of the steel box converters.

I see you havea setup with a two barrelon each bank, now that appears interesting. Is that something youfoster?

I never understood the idea behind mapping. I don't know why they wouldn't put a learning algorithm in, instead. Give it a starting map, then just let it go (within limiting parameters) and figure out what works and what doesn't, what uses more fuel, what uses less, what produces more power, what produces less, what causes detonation, what doesn't.. As it does, it can adjust its own map. That way, as the engine wears and changes, it can adjust its own map.
