I have a 1984 GL1200 aspencade, the rear shocks dont hold pressure, they will inflate to normal pressures but within an hour they have lost all air pressure. Could the shocks be bad, I have found verry small traces of oil, but if it is in a line how would I go about fixing this issue?

first you need to determine where the leak is,use some dish liquid and water or use some windex on lines and connections and pump up the pressure to determine where the leak is,if you do not find it and you do have some oil leakage past the seals it time for a seal replacement

also spray the top of shock since there are o-rings there that may leak

And the leak could be anywhere from the shocks up to the compressor!
