Hello everyone,

I was bleeding the rear brakes and noticed on the left rear axle there is a 1/4 inch hole with nothing in it. Should there be a cotter pin or something in there? Thanks in advance for your reply.

I believe that is used to put a rod through to help pull the axle. There isn't any bolt threads there is there?

Could be wrong though. Nah, I'm never wrong, yeah right..:cheeky1::cheeky1::cheeky1::waving::waving::waving:

Ed, that actually makes more sense to me than what I offered.

edzinohio is exactly right - the hole is for puting a drift (aka 'screwdriver') to hold the axle steady while tightening the nut on the other side.
