Just try to find EBC FA29 brake pads. There are 12 Cycle Gear locations in FL, not sure if 1 is near you... (one in Orlando).

Most independent bike shops can certainly get them. Plus many, many places online too.

Have you looked at the pads? Have checked the fuild level?Maybe it is time for a brake fuild change and servicing.

The rear brake on my '79 is pitiful- Pads are good and it has a new stainless braided line and fluid. I'm going to adjust the pedal up so I can really jump on it. I've got the front brakes working OK-not great-but OK. I think it's just yesterday's technology. Gotta respect its limits and adjust.

Silvertramp, My rear brake petal is too low & it's out of adjustment. It's kind of like a car that where the PB do not work. The fron is okay.

Welcome to Goldwing riding!:clapper: I'm 72 now and my wife and I still enjoy being out in the open air.

You may just need to replace the brake fluid, bleed, and adjust the pedal. If you do adjust the pedal be sure to make sure the rear Brake Switch is adjusted correctly for the stop lights.
