There have been threads on this before but I don't remember any solutions being offered except taking a chance on a used one.

I had that same problem this past spring and not being able to purchase a replacement valve I was able to repair the old one. Check back on this forum to a discussion I started on May19. ...Titled 83 Gl1100 rear brake pressure control valve. If you cant find it let me know and I will re write the repair procedure that I used....GM

Hi George83wing..........Cyclewizard says K&L sells a repair kit which is great to know. I wish I had known that in the spring.......I was able to repair the unit I was working on with a sealing compound called HONDABOND. Prior to re-assembling the valve I wiped the rubber cup and o ring with o ring lubricant which is designed to slightly swell the rubber. After assembly I waited a full 24 hrs before refilling , bleeding and testing. It worked well and has been holding since late May. Hondabond you can purchase at the Honda Dealer and the lubricant is just called o ring lube which you can purchase at an auto parts outlet or an hydraulic shop.......GM
