I am installing new rear shock bushings and they are not the same. What I
took out were urethane bushings the dealer gave me rubber. When I put them
in they are loose and I can move the shock up and down a little. I am assuming
that I have stock shocks because the boots fit fine. Did they have the same shocks
on all models in 82 ?

I ordered new bushings for my 82 Asp. There is a difference on one side - I think its the right side. One place offered a different size but I think the manual indicates its the same size, but the right side includes a collar (making up the difference in size).

The parts manual indicates all 82's are the same size.

It sounds like you were given the wrong size bushings. I am assuming you have shocks that still say Showa (the original ones).

According to the picture at the dealer these are the stock shocks. They only say air
suspension on them. The left shock is identical to the book, the right hooks up different but the bushings are the same size.

Hi Dave, did the rubber bushings you got have the steel inserts in them? Based on your description, if the inserts were missing you would have some slop on the mounting bolt.

Yes they have the sleeve on both sides. The dealer wants me to get any numbers
off them I can find. He thinks they may be after market.
