i was thinking of putting 412`s on the rear of my gl 1500 interstate. i have a manual air suspension on it, right rear shock only. will the 412`s work? how does one know what setting to install them at? im 170 lbs, wife is 125, kids are no more than 125. install them and set them on the third setting? all i can find info on is the 416`s and the 450. i really wasnt too interested in the air shocks....but i really dont know much about them.

The best way with any kind of shocks is to start at the lowest setting for you and the better half, take a short ride to see if it bottoms out, if it does, start adjusting up, until it rides without bottoming out, and no other wierd handling problems. No 2 bikes are the same, yes, generally, you could go for a generic setting, but mostly it is testing, testing, testing until you get the results that you are happy with.:smiler:
