You are better off taking off the saddlebags as it leaves more room. Then remove the exhaust rear mount bolts and loosen the clamps so you can swivel up the pipes, caliper off and shock lower bolts out, then axle bolt. I gave somone a hand with this a while back and I had to tip the bike a little bit sideways for the wheel to roll out. Anyway, I'mm off out to work now. See ya later! :D

I tried the trick about taking the bottom saddlebag/trunk box rack out and swiveling all the boxes up out of the way. It made wheel removal easier but I had severe problems trying to line up the rack mounts afterwards. If I have to do it again I will just remove the saddlebags as its easy enough.
