Thanks to MD Kramer and Wexy, I got my locked up account unlocked and I can post again! Whew! Thought I had offended again......kind of in my nature!:)

Our riding season is officially open: the skiis are locked away, the highways free of snow, and I made my obligatory spring run to the Columbia River today....in sweet, pale sunshine and gentle spring breezes -- and you know what? The river's still there!

The skys parted, and the angels did sing ;-)
Now make sure you don't say that again...:axeman:

Does that say forum diplomat, or former diplomat?
If it were me, I would have headed for Winthrop, and I don't care who gets offended:ROFL::ROFL:
Welcome back CJ. I was locked out for a while too. Turns out that when I changed my email address in my account, it sent me to the "unactivated waiting email confirmation" members group, which is apparently a vbulletin standard procedure. That's all fine except I didn't receive the activation email to click the link in it so I was stuck in the "unactivated account" group.
I used the forum contact link and clicked on "send an email to Steve Saunders" and he had it fixed for me the same day.

I think anyone changing email address in their account would be better to get a moderator or admin do it for them.
I'm glad to hear they didn't move the river.

I'm glad it didn't dry up, or in CJ's case, Part..........

Ah, me....sarcasm..... an unbecoming weapon for a man of your stature and standing..... I am wounded to the quick!

(What is a "quick," anyway?)

Good question CJ, someone will be along to tell us presently.

I think it has something to do with joints, maybe ?

Oh I know, a chocolate powder you put in milk.

.
Rode it in 2008. It's such an awesome road!

Then, others didn't even notice you were gone...:?

So, what river is that?
Quick: the tender part of an animal's hoof. Don't know what a human equivalent is-use your imagination.
Also as in "the quick and the dead". We now know CJ is still in the quick category.
If that's the case, wouldn't you then be wounded to the Nestle's?
Glad the river is still there. Maybe the next run could be to Cle Elum? or Marysville? Washtucna?
I don't know about the rest of these guys, but I had fear...
... the fear that you and Red were off riding and/or skiing and taking wonderful and meaningful photos, and that you'd not too quickly return to posting on th board about your damned wonder-filled adventures and lives filled with seemingly pure enjoyment of all things.

My fear was palpable, and I believe a genuine case of Ceejayphobia...

(not that I'm envious or anything...) :)

I can't wait to see the pent-up photo stash and read your musings once again

Washtucna! Hey! Don't be making fun of Washtucna....I played eight man football against Washtucna, and have the scars (and pictures) to prove it! Here's one of the Washtucna football team in days past...... About 1968, I think..... When I played against them, they wore the same uniforms!

Besides, there's a hellacious biker road which starts halfway between Kahlotus and Washtucna ( we played against Kahlotus, too). It's Highway 261, which leads you past Palouse Falls State Park, Lyons Ferry, and Starbuck. Every bit as good as Deal's Gap without the hype! Trust me!

Palouse Falls

p.s. I didn't take either of these pictures!
