Hey y'all, I recently aquired a 76 GL1000 . I have noticed that a lot of my parts have red dotd painted on them :?.

Is this parts from a breaker? Or is it some Honda thing? :baffled:

Just curious,,,

Are the red dots on the end of bolts and fasteners? I worked at the Honda Auto Plant in Marysville,Ohiofor 6 years and used torque wrenches with a red marker inside of it. When you torqued the fastener, it left a red dot for quick checks to see it was done.

Mine has red dots on it too... Honda put them on for some reason.

Have seen women with "Red Dots" on their foreheads, maybe they had been "Torqued down at the "Honda Plant" too?!:baffled::goofygrin:

I've smoked a few Red Dot cigars in the past but didn't find them very good.
