How do you remove the crank shaft with piston attached like I see in the repair guide?

"lift up the main shaft assembly with primary driven gear and slip out the primary chain." -mother honda-

"tilt the gearbox upwards at the forward end and pull the shaft complete with gear pinions from position in the primary driven gear. The primary driven gear can now be disengaged from the hy-vo primary drive chain" -haynes-

what am i missing????

feel free to down load the pic and use paint (windows) to draw arrows to whatever in the world these folks are talking about.

If memory serves you lift the shaft up out of the case then slip it out of the big drive sprocket. Then take the sprocket out of the chain.
