Can anyone give me an idea where to find out the easiest way to remove the painted parts of my 83 goldwing gl1100 interstate. I want to paint the bike this winter, but not sure how if it is something I want to get into. do the wheels have to be removed to take the fenders off, and suggestions on removing the flaring. Is there a suggested book to give me the instructions on how to remove these items.

oh yes, I forgot, I had the regular narrow seat on the bike and replacedwith a touring?? seat with drivers backrest built in, the wider seat. It is fabric and I want to replace it with one I see in JC Whitney, their premium seat with gelpac. Are the seatpans the same for both style seats??

thanks

well you can remove everything off the bike, the fairing doesn't have to come off for painting. its harder and its easier to work with it while on the bike.
If your bike is 80-81 its easy to remove the front fender, older models have bigger front wheel and its difficult, its possible but on the reinstallation you can scratch it.
