I have a replacement amplifier which I hope is causing my radio to come in and out but can't get the current amplifier out....anyone know how to get it out? I took the left fairing pocket out and can see the amplifier but cannot get to it to remove it.

Any help greatly appreciated!

There are four allen head screws in the front faceplate for the auto control panel. They are concealed in the corners by black plastic finish caps.

I took those out along with the pocket. I see the amplifier mounted inside the fairing but how does it come out? Do I have to take some or all of the fairing apart?

Ignore me, I'm an idiot. I just realized you wanted the amplifier, not the auto volume control. DOH!
There are two screws that bolt the amplifier to the fairing. They come in from the outside. I'll try to locate a picture.

If have the replacement amp, it should have two studs mounted to it. They go through the fairing toward the steering stem. The nuts are physically on the outside of the fairing.
