any one know what size hex I need to remove seat from a GL1100? thanks Terp

I know it's kind of a wise-guy answer, but just grab your set of metric allens, and try until one fits.

If you're working on a gw, you should have a decent set.

On my '82 it is an 8mm Allen key on the left side & a 6mm one on the right side.

On my '83 its a 6 or 8 mm allen on the left and a 12mm hes on the right???

& you dont have to pull your bags off, Just lift up the weather stripping to find a slot that allows you to go strait in!
