Hi. Does anyone know if the pocket cover can be snapped offthe curved hinge end and the new one just snapped back onor does it entail going further into the springs and attachment bracket. I tried to just snap the cover offbut it doesn't seem to want to come off and I don't want to break one of the curved hinge arms. Thanks

I can take the pocket out very easily but the actual cover is still attached to the fairing. That's where my problem lies. Thehingeassembly is still under the fairing yet and it appears I would have to take the whole top shelter off to get to it. That sounds like a little overkill just to get the pocket cover off. That's why I was trying to see if the cover somehow just snaps off the curved opening brackets

By looking at the picture you would think the door would pop right off the existing curved hinges at the end. The new doorhas the same square openings where it appears it would just snap on the existing curved hinge end. No matter how I pry, prod and push I can't get the existing cover off those hinge ends. Am I just not doing it right? It seems so simple yet it won't come off and I don't want to break a hinge arm.Has anybody ever been successful just snapping the cover off the hinges?

Thanks so much. I had the painted trim piece off but didn't think of removing the bolts on the panel and the shelter and just lifting it up a little. I'll give it a whirl.

You know, after thinking about this all night last night, why would they send me a new cover with just the openings to be able to snap on to my existing hinges, if the old cover wasn't designed to just snap off. And guess what! It does! It just took a little prying with a small bladed screwdriver tip to loosen the area around the mounting area on my old cover, pushing on the slot openings provided at the cover hinge end, and presto, off it comes. And the best part? The new cover snaps right back on in less than 5 secs.
