Anyone know where I can pick up a retro goldwing jacket that has the GOLDWING down the arm and the goldwing emblem on the other arm. They were made by Hondaline. I think they were made in the 80's. I picked one up for my wife cheap on ebay but am now looking for one for myself. I am a large or a small extra large. Thanks:waving:

Hi Trainer Tim, not much use looking here, over the pond, I bid on two on ebay the other day, got pipped by £5.00 and they went for £215.00 which is a lot of your US$.

Your wife is a lucky lady, just have to keep your eyes peeled if you want to be matching.

Sorry, I can't help.

If you are still looking for a retro jacket Trainer tim, there is a Honda one going through ebay in Uk at the mo. It's not specifically Goldwing but you might be interested. I a'int clever enough to send you a link thing but here's the item number and hopefully you can do the rest.

Darn it, you yanks are clever with the old computers, I am still trying to work out how to use my old Cassio calculator circ1971! My best legacy from my days in the Royal Navy, was being taught to type- 12 words a minute, 95% accuracy.

Nevermind, we all have our specialisms, and mine is carpentry, so if anyone needs a dovetail joint or jack rafter on their Wing, then I'm your man!!

Now how do I change these batteries in this 'er Cassio?

One day I will amaze everyone, (mainly myself) and actually learn how to get the pictures from the new fangled didgital camera, onto the computer thingy and you will have to put up with my photography as well as my ramblings!!:gunhead:

Thanks anyway Brojees, and if you, Trainer Tim, or anyone else over there wanted the jacket, I would be happy to try and ship for you. I think even I can stick stamps on!

I have had this Commodore 64 for so long, I have sort of figured it out by now.

Brojees, that brought a smile to my face. Took a Com 64 home from the store that I managed at the time to try and learn how to work it, never got more than a fuzzy screen out of it, so I avoided all customers hovering around the Sinclairs and Commodores. Still have a Sinclair ZX spectrum in the loft in a case with tons of game, in full working order!! Have a mate who was still on a BBC up until a year or so ago!

Back to the subject...

Are you looking for those Hondaline jackets that were colormatched to the 1100's ?

I think they were also coated with some magic 3M fairy dust that was reflective.

I believe that there were Black, Red and maybe Brown.

If so I'll check my basement, I had a pair of black ones but may have gotten rid of them before E-Bay. If I can find them, they're yours.

Tony96, do you happen to remember the sizes, I would certainly be interested if they were right, I would need them to be large at least. I went for a pair on GB ebay recently, but they went beyond my cut off figure, but I was prepared to go to £200 which is close to 400 of your fine US$ I believe, so I would be happy to pay postage plus a handsom reward if they were right. I am not desperate though ,so if Trainer Tim is keen, no problem, I can wait and get some elsewhere.

I recon this site should have a section for swap/ give away, what with all the stuff you guys have in basements and we have in lofts!! I have some bits from my old 1000 that I don't need anymore, including a Honda workshop manual, I just got to find them amongst the junk!:baffled:

Sorry to say, they've been discarded.

They were a large and small, but alas the misses and I haven't been a large and small for quite some time. Spring cleaning this year was their demise.

Sorry, wished I could have given them to someone that wanted them.

That's it, I'll throw nothing else motorcycle related away, until I check with the forum to see if anyone needs it.

I may have an old Eclipse tank bag for a GL1100 in the garage...

Don't worry WINGDAWG101 there will be plenty more strange English quirky words to make you scratch your head, if I am posting. Just hope for your sake there aren't too many cockneys on hereor you eill be struggling to get your head round some true Cockney rhyming slang.
