Met JLuvs2Dive in Port Orchard, WA. for the first time yesterday. Had breakfast and then headed out to Deception Pass State Park. (North end of Whidbey Island) It was a great ride, cool to begin with then warming up just enough to make it very comfortable.

We took the ferry over to the island. Here's John and his beautiful bike waiting for the ferry.

Cousin Jack, you missed out on a very relaxing drive and a beautiful view.!!!

If you are in the area it is a great place to visit.

Took a bunch of pictures but since I'm on the road I'll only be able to post a few.

The park is fantastic, the salt water from the Puget Sound flows through the pass with the tides and changes direction. The current is pretty stiff.

Here's John on the beach below the Bridge over the pass.

Looking west from the bridge toward the inner part of the Puget Sound north of Seattle

Just after we walked back across the bridge Mrs. Hanko (Edie) spent a few minutes looking for her helmet..... it was on her head.:cheeky1:

John felt much better about leaving his glasses at the restaurant after that!!

They packed the bikes pretty close together on the Ferry. Johns mirror was clipped by the car on the left of the bikes as they were parking. Didn't hurt his mirror thank goodness.

Glad you guys had a good ride!:clapper: John is a great guy, I had the pleasure of meeting him in Georgia last year.

He wasn't the one that put a dent in the ladies car in the first pic is he?? I figured she might have parked to close to his wing for his liking:cooldevil::cooldevil:

Thanks for the post and the pictures Henry. The pleasure was all mine! I'm already looking forward to our next ride! :action:

Henry and Edie are great people and just plain fun to hang with. Conversation with them is easy and very interesting. It was very nice of Edie to pretend she didn't know where her helmet was just so I'd feel better about leaving my glasses behind. :dude:

I haven't had a chance to download my pictures from the camera yet. I'll post a link when I do.

nightwizard40 , thanks Bud! It was great hangin' with you a bit in Calhoun too! Hope to get the chance again!

Too bad you didn't wait a couple of weeks . We have reservations there for the 31st thru the 4th of sept. That has always been our favorite park in the whole State. Maybe another time .

Hmmm, would be glad to meet up with you anyhow but your reservation dates are during the weekdays and unfortunately I'm still a working stiff. Are you coming over on the North Cascades highway?
