Couldn't find either article, but thanks for pointing me towards 2 interesting sites.

New Zealand sure has great scenery and great roads for bikes, butterrible economics, and terrible politics.

Great place to visit, but as to living here I'm seriously considering moving to Australia. If it wasn't for the fact that I have a wife and 4 kids I would have gone years ago.

Now thats very witty.

I don't actually have any sheep, there are not many sheep in Auckland. I do have 4 kids, a wife, a dog, a cat and 3 goldfish, and if we go most of them will come with me.

:action::action:Good on ya guys, I am finding this seriously funny:action:

If we go we will take the wifes car and my Goldwing with us as vehicles are very expensive in australia, everything else is comparible or cheaper.

I won't point this thread out to she who must be obeyed or I won't be allowed back here.:whip:

Actually she loves the :12grey:as much as I do. She wants me to teach her to ride but she's 5'1" and weighs 60kgs, somehow I don't think so.

I'll take her, the 4 kids, the dog, the car and the :12grey:. Everything else will stay in NZ.

This is "the wife" speaking. (I snuk a peak at the comp screen whilemy husband was making my coffee). For the records: I want to ride THE bike. I weigh less than 60kg - usually closer to 50kg, although it's birthday season at our place to that's up a little at the moment - I'll shape up at the gym - can yoou talk Andrew into coming with me? Please? The dog is MY dog (people often comment that I could put a saddle on him - he's big enough to be a pony (great dane cross), and there is obviously NO CHANCE of him being left behind - although the move to AUS is only Andrew's idea - I'm not keen!

He spends too long at this website - I feel like a neglected wife!

I survived and she has found this thread as amusing as i have.

However Pete it sounds to me like you are going tohave to stop playing here and on the wing and get back to building. i have renovated a house once (repiled, reclad, regibbed, replumbed and rewired as well as complete decoration) and won't be going back there in a hurry.

By the way trading sheep for kangaroo is not a bad idea.:jumper: Kangaroo meat is much tastier than sheep and certainly not as fatty.

Pete

She's gone to bed. I reckon you could be onto something in getting Steve to set up a widows site. give them there own site to sit around and gossip and drink coffee, whilst we get on with what's important, sharing technical knowlegde, encouragement and inspiration when we can't actually get out and ride.

By the way 2 boys, 2 girls so it's even, 14, 13, 9,7

Helen Your checking Petes forum is becoming quite a habit.

Sounds like you should join and take over the computer. I'm sure that I speak for most of the guys around here when I say we'd probably rather talk to you anyway.

Then Pete can get back to work on the house.lol

Now Andrew, I knew that you had a lot of dangerous critters Down Under, but I didn't know you had a Snake in the grass!!!

What were you thinking, inviting She who should be obeyed to join!!! Just look at the typing in her previous post, what is all that gobbldy **** before and after the words!!

And, this lady is in charge of our local council Help desk, serving thousands of citizens, with helpon all council matters. Goodness knowswhat her many emails look like!!

I have watered the plants as requested and am standing by for any orders... what more could a woman want?:jumper::baffled:

Helen does have one good point though, how is the gym going? I do hope Katherine has dragged you down there by your short and curlies!!!

I am probably going to A&E tonight to have the rolling pin extracted from my.....

:madeyes:pete

Seems to me Pete that you are trying to change the subject and get some heat put on me to get to the gym.

Fancy calling me a snake in the grass when all I did was suggest that Helen may be a tad more appealing to the guys than you. I'm sure that even you would agree to that.

Besides it was :cooldevil:wingdawg :cooldevil:that committed the ultimate crime and suggested that you give the wing to Helen

There once was a saying "Drink is the curse of the working class" My father changed it to "Work is the curse of the drinking class" ( he likes the odd drop or 2) Maybe we should change it to "Work is the curse of the riding class"

I would love to go to visit NZ too, was supposed to go there back in '75, but it all went pear shaped when the end of Nam happened and we had to go play there. Yes the Brits did get quietly involved!!

Perhaps Andrew would give us the guided tour if we dropped in sometime, that's if he hasn't bailed out and joined the convicts in Aussie!!

Be real nice to see him and his "bag of sugar pint of milk"

wife, the kids and the horse of a dog!!

Pete

I'll pick you up at the airport and show you around. Name the time and place. Better bring Helen along and she and Kathrine can do whatever girls do and we can play up.

Jeez Pete, Helen may go crook but Kathrine will be estatic with someone doing all her work for her. As for small feet, I do not expect my woman to be bare foot and pregnant, she's allowed slippers.

By the way you know what wife stands for? W = Washing, I = Ironing, F= Food and E = Entertainment.

Goto go now befor I get caught.

Sorry Pete, like my version better, it's a bit more subtle.

I alsway thought the Pom's were the master of subtle humour, Black Adder, Young Ones, Monty Python and my favourite Red Dwarf
