I recently relocated to South East Arizona. I will be here for at least 6 months. Then they will most likely move me somewhere else. I picked up a trailer so I could bring the Goldwing with me.

So now I’m looking for advice on roads to ride. I hope to take a number of 2 and 3 day trips while I’m down here.

Interested if the large pit mines and a lot of twists and turns and pine trees? Look at 191 running north out of Safford. Once you get up to Alpine (appropriately named) there are a lot of ways to ride back home.

West to showlow is pretty, and you can split into different routes there.

there are different routes up north of Globe that are pretty.

A loop around Lake Roosevelt can lead you to Payson or not enough time, turn south on the Bee Line highway (87) instead of going to Payson and come back down through Mesa, or turn off onto the Bush highway and go by Saquaro Lake.

Thanks for the info.

I am going to plan a trip up highway 191. It looks like a great ride and as you said you can make the return trip a few different ways. I’m thinking about highway 60 or down through New Mexico on 180.

I did end up on a nice road today between Sonoita and Nogales.
