Routes and Itinerary for Mid-West M&G in Eureka Springs?

Hey there everyone, :waving:

Rather than cluttering up the main thread. Which erjww has managed to do nicely! :readit: :raspberry:
Thought I would start a new thread just for the routes and dates that people are planning to take to get to Eureka Springs,

Anyone coming from the Atlanta area? My bike will be parked in Atlanta and I will be picking it up the bike on the 28th of August. Plenty of time for me to make the 691 mile drive and make it to Eureka Springs on the 30th.
My route is flexible if anyone wants to meet up and ride on in together.

John aka super moderator aka Halfling, Might be my only time to make it into Tennessee this year, What say you? and what do you have planned?

Catch you all later and looking forward to seeing where everyone is coming from. :waving:

John, didn't you get my reply on this? I sent you a PM on July 24th. Wanted you to stop at our place on Wednesday night and then head out together toward Beenshots on Thursday morning (the 29th) with arrival in ES on Friday. What say you?

yes John, bring ziadelsol with you. we would be glad to put him up for the night also. that is if he can handle my gravel road:raspberry:

LOL John, this thread was started before your PM.
I have not replied to it yet, because as of right now my flight does not land in Atlanta until 2215 hrs on Wed night. I have been on the look out for an earlier flight so that I can make it up to your place on Wed evening, but so far that is not looking too bright. I might end up getting a very early start Thursday and maybe just meet up with you at Beenshots. As for the gravel road, if John can make it, I can make it (errrrr hopefully

I have found an earlier flight, but it is not on my prefered airline, so what I may end up doing is to cancel my one flight and take their ecredit for the flight and purchase the earlier flight on US Airways. I will let you know what I decide on it all.

Wait a minute. Hey there New Mexican!!!! This thread is titled "routes and itinerary" so I'm gonna clarify it for everyone and so as not to "clutter this thread up" I will stick to the topic. Bought the T shirt....

.....but I have no idea what to expect, what events there are, etc. Bought a new GW in Jan after riding Sport-Tour and and Sport bikes for years but have wanted to attend these events. I have no idea what to expect, do, see, etc. Grew up in Monett MO and spent alot of time in Eureka Springs but haven't been there in 30 years so worse case for me it will be catch up time. When and where is the auction? Where do I pick up our TShirts? Is there a meet and gret for those not hotel/camping? Not shy, just clueless....

Our host motel & base of operations is the Motel 62. Folks will start arriving Thursday with most getting in Friday. I will be cooking burgers Friday starting at 5 pm ($5 each person) . The auction is tentatively scheduled to start Saturday around 6 pm at the Motel. Just stop by there when you get in & introduce yourself. Bills Girl will have the tshirts.

Pete, looking forward to meeting you. Lopeha pretty much covered it all. It is just a chance to meet up with some great people with a love for motorcycles and riding. As for a meet and greet for those not at the hotel or campground, just drop by the hotel parking lot and you will usually find people hanging around outside either by the pool or out by the bikes socializing if they are not out for a ride or what not. Just pull in and introduce yourself. And hope your expectations are not too high, if you see a tall skinny guy with a white 1500 in the lot,, you may be better off just turning around and running as fast as you can. He is Trouble with a capitol T! :ROFL:

But he's RICH!!

He makes over $120,000 a year and thats just pocket change compared to what his wife makes....... Jacks trouble and a little weird, no denying that, but worthy of knowing......

I wish I could, I like that area, very pretty, the scenery diversified and the roads are Fantastic!! A lot to do in a short time. My sister is right in Rogers, I don't get to see her as much as I would like to.........

Don't be too worried about this crowd. Last fall, I bought a Goldwing and came to this forum in the spring. Wasn't long, I was invited to a group ride and met several people. You get invited to attend other rides and you meet new people. Others travel great distance to ride again with new people and groups start to blend. I have now ridden several trips with people I met this way and more trips are planned. Now I don't have enough vacation time to ride all the invites.
You will spot me with no problem. Red '99 SE and bald. I have heard I look unapproachable, but don't worry about that.
