I did above, now can't get her to fire at all. I mean she was running pretty good, red line no prob, starting almost always by at least second push of button. I wanted new coils and plug wires. I swear I put her back exactly as she was and nothing.
Dyna Ignition, coils all ohm out great, both primary and secondary. I am stumped.
Any ideas appreciated. :)

Turns out was Dyna Ignition. Evidently I shorted it out by hooking up the wires to the new 1100 coils. Have put points setup on and it works fine. Dyna is at Dynatek. Much thanks to Dingdong, who put his points setup on as a test.. very nice.

Well,, several on here are running 1100 coils on their 1000's. I bought the 83 1100 coils which as I understand are only 1.5 ohm coils.. so maybe i just need a 3 ohm resistor instead of a 1.5 ohm resistor.. any comments.??? Even several on here running 1100 coils with points versus Dyna.. I will most likely try again. Believe it or not.. lol

Hey Jim,
So then can't I just add ballast resistance to the .5 ohm to get it where it needs to be for either points or dyna?? was not planning on running without resistor.
Thanks for the advise!
