I'm new to the win'g engine blob design, but I have done a lot of work with kawasaki's KZ engine series. Many of those bikes use CV carbs with diaphrams. Lots of time people who were complaining of loss of power, or dead cylinders with good spark had tears in the diaphrams. They can be hard to spot if you aren't looking for them, as they rarely manifest in the field, but rather right next to the slide. If none of the other solutions help your situation, you may want to pop the tops of those carbs, and really look at the diaphrams closely. If you do find a tear, it is sometimes possible to repair these tears with "Plasti-cote". That's the stuff you dip your wrench handles in to coat them with a nice cushy coating.

Hope this can be of help.

Tuning problem. Not something parts replacement will fix.

Re. "wasted spark" yep thats it, but the plug thats not under compression acts like a short circuit so it has little effect.
