I asked for the brand name of a set of carb rebuild kits they have on eBay this is the answer I got...

Not very friendly or
interested in selling there stock.

Don't know. Item offered as pictured and described, if not sufficient for your needs, don't think about buying and go to your Honda dealer.

I sent this:
Dear sabercyclegoldwingparts,

I have heard you guys are not customer friendly and you just proved it. That's quit an attitude. I find it hard to image that you don't know or couldn't find out who the manufacturer is for these kits.

Don't worry I won't be doing business with you. Similar kits are listed here on eBay for a few dollars more than your price but it worth it not to support retailers like you.

And Saber responded with this:

"We can live without you very easily. Go, with our blessings, and get hosed and pay, not just a few dollars more, but a lot of dollars more. We are not exactly blind and know what the other offers are out there, with mismarked and short item kits as well. Have fun! You will be lucky to get delivery. What we have we send an FAST, most others do not have what they offer in stock, and many just don't bother to deliver. Good luck! BTW, you now can't buy even if you wanted to, anything, from us on Ebay.

Are they Assholes or what?

Why bother questioning Saber Cycles oruse eBay crap when you can get the best stuff form a forum supporter.

Like Scooter said "Go to randakk's site and buy his kit" If you're concerned about who makes what....

He has the best GL kits and besides standing behind his products, he'll tell you about them.

Saber is a middle supplier and if it's anything like what I had to deal with when ordering old bike gasket kits or other items, they never know where it's from because they like their customers are interested in price only

I just find it amazing a company like that can stay in business so long with the credo "The Customer is always WRONG." Or, perhaps more to the point, "The customer is always a pain in the keister." However, as long as enough people continue to purchase from them they can cop whatever 'tude they want, laughing all the way to the bank. :baffled:

Just throwing my .02 cents out there, but have you checked out crescent moon unlimited? Their kits are good, and a fair price. Sometimes you wait an extra week to get parts, but my entire rebuild was done with their support. Frenchy and his wife were very patient, and shipped to my APO no problem. Great folks, give your business to them and let Saber suck the big one.

I've had one dealing with sabercycle, and actually they were pretty fast on delivery and they had some chrome "bling" that I hadnt seen at any other retailer.

I was fully aware of thier "fantastic customer service" when i ordered, but fortunantly, I didnt need any of that outstanding sabercycle "help".

I think they are politicians they use 24 words to respond to a valid question acting like you just need to trust us and when confronted they use 100 words to bad mouth the competition and anyone stupid enough not to use them:cheeky1:

I never had a pissing contest with Saber. I did get floorboards from them that worked perfectly and a set of brake clutch levers. It was the same stuff others sell at a price about 30% less.

The $16 tool to remove the timing belt covers didn't work well. I chose to consider that a bad purchase.

Just thought I'd point out that this person is NOT a "forum supporter". He left this place in a very unfriendly fashion, and his posts as well as his contributions to the forum bank of knowledge have been removed.

Tim, while this may be true, and ,if it was a case of "take my ball and go home", childish.....if you have a set of carbs that need to be rebuilt....he's still the best way to go. The kit is complete, and of high quality.:waving:

SABER on the other hand sells "as is" right or wrong, fit or not. ain't thier problem!

No all of his posts are still here, over 300 of them. Have a look .

He did howeverpull his article on buying a gl1000, which wasIMHO punishing the whole membership. That's why some of you guys pulled together and made a new article on the gl1000, which was a very good one and showed that the members cando things like thatthemselves without input from companies. :cooler:

BTW Randakks way of doing business is much better than Saber. I've never heard any complaints about his products or treatment of customers. Saber on the other hand, I'm still waiting on some small items I ordered a long time back and they delivered the wrong stuff. I returned it and am still waiting. I decided to cut my losses and forget about them instead of tormenting myself.

andy1800, Randakk went and deleted all the information on each of his posts. On the profile it shows 225 posts and everyone of them had it's information deleted one at a time except for his adios thread. It still shows the post but they all say edited and have all their content removed.

Here is the link to his posts.
