No all of his posts are still here, over 300 of them. Have a look :madeyes:.

He did howeverpull his article on buying a gl1000, which wasIMHO punishing the whole membership. That's why some of you guys pulled together and made a new article on the gl1000, which was a very good one and showed that the members cando things like thatthemselves without input from companies. :cooler:

BTW Randakks way of doing business is much better than Saber. I've never heard any complaints about his products or treatment of customers. Saber on the other hand, I'm still waiting on some small items I ordered a long time back and they delivered the wrong stuff. I returned it and am still waiting. I decided to cut my losses and forget about them instead of tormenting myself.

andy1800, Randakk went and deleted all the information on each of his posts. On the profile it shows 225 posts and everyone of them had it's information deleted one at a time except for his adios thread. It still shows the post but they all say edited and have all their content removed.

Tut-tut. The man may be a genius with older Wings, but that was another move that makes me lose even more respect for him. When you find you dug a hole for yourself, you really need to stop digging. :goofygrin:

I'm new to the form thing!, however I felt I needed to reply. I too went to SABER before all of this and ordered a complete engine gasket kit for my 1100 Standard. The service was FAST but I had no contact with them. I'm really shocked after reading the post from the guy that had aBAD run in with them. Iwill not be doing any business with them from this point forward. I will say that I ordered a complete CARB overhaul kit from Randakks and was really suprised whenafter I sent my payment to him within15 to 20 minuites I got an Email from Randell and he thanked me for his business and hoped that I would continue doing business with him." Now that's Customer Service ". $227.40 cents is all it cost for the Carb Kit and the Book from his business. Well worth the investment.

Yeah I agree hs is honest to do business with and I don't know anyone who says otherwise.

But spending days and days editing out all your own posts is just kinda...... well weird really. Many of those posts were helful to the general membership, so they get to be deprived of that info.

And I agree with you, however there must have been a reason for him to pull off all of his posting. We may never know!!!. I do believe that this form is a very big part of the reason that the Goldwing is still alive and well tho!!!. We can't just rely on 1 persons experience to do the general repairs on one's machines. He is by far the most knowledgeable individuals that I have run across. But I do believe that there are just as knowledgeable people out here that would be more then happy to share the experience with us that have not had as much experience with bikes!!!. Don't you think???. Just my opinion!!!.

There might have been a good reason to leave (or not) but to delete the useful info of your posts?? come on...."threw the toys out of the pram" I like that... :cheeky1:and I am glad that the forum now has a policy of freezing posts after a set time which will prevent most of that in the future.. What is postedshould be considered forum assets as far as I am concerned... I will note this: I believe Randall is smart, honest, has excellent products and customer serviceand I will continue to use and recommend him...I amjust sorry that this incident happened in the first place.. there were no winners.. everyone lost something... Jim

Edit: just so you don't think I am crazy.. the freeze time is infinitely variable.. has been 48 hours, 96 hours, then Wingnut told me in email it was 7 days (didn't try it).. I see right now, there is none... go figure..

When you put a burr under the wrong saddle, some people can really go to extreme with bitterness. Thing is, that burr should not have been placed there, but since it was, then that's the way it goes. Look at it from the bright side, he could have showed up on a door step. He's a good person, just got po'd. Spread the love people. :D:):cool::cooler:

PS. And be very careful where you put your burr's:cussing:

I agree. I don't really want to lock the thread but I'd appreciate if we leave italone while it'sstill civilized,just in case it suddenly goes off the rails. :waving:
