Remember too, you always hear new sounds when you are getting ready to head out on a long haul. Not a bad idea to have it checked if you have any doubts anyway.

If I'm going 1000 miles + I always check; water, fluids, lubrication levels, tires and proper air pressure, wear & balance, brake parts, tighten lose bolts and nuts, lights,turn signals, flashers, extra key, oil change if it's within range, hand controls, foot controls, foot rests, front end parts (visual on seals), extra fuses, waxed for good looks

I have a check list somewhere on my computer, if I find it I'll post it.
