This gun just gives me the " I want one of those " feelings....

Reminds me so much of my old Remington model 700 22-250 that gave me so much fun between 1970-1978 hunting prairie dogs and coyotes with a friend. My son owns that one now.

Sadly, the price on this thing at $1500 is out of reach for me

I was just reading an article about precision rifles and they called anything $1500 or less affordable. Not for this guy.

.22-250 is a fun cartridge for sure.

Probably pretty close. I think a new Marlin 30/30 was about $110.

John, take a look at the Axis models. I have one in 308 that is more accurate than I am!

My youngest bought a Savage 110 in .30-06 years ago while stationed in Alaska and I used to hunt groundhogs here in Indiana using cheap 150 gr softpoints and could take them out 350 yards with ease. Mind you this had a cheap 4x12 Whitetail scope on it but the rifle was amazingly accurate and he paid somewhere around $350 for it new, I think Rural King or Big R sells the same gun for around $400 with the scope too.

Friend of mine bought an Axis in .308 and it is also a very accurate rifle for $289 from WM.
