For washing I use this "Cajun" something microfiber cloth. Try using liquid Turtlewax on your windshield, my younger brother showed this to me. I washed my bike and tried the turtlewaxon the windshield looked brand new. I used the Cajun rag to apply the wax all over the windshield too.

If you have a store like a "Sams Club" in your area, then drop by and get a 48 count bundle of Terry towels. They are super cheap. So cheap you can throw them away if you use for grease wipe up. Wash the bundle when you get home, (remove plastic package first):cheeky1:then run through dryer with no softener pad or liquid. This is to remove the worst lint the first time around. Carry a few of these in your saddle bag for windshield cleaning, and bike cleaning while on the road. I carry a can of window cleaner spay, either Honda or one of the auto parts store that is tint safe, spay, let sit a minute, wipe gently with terry towel, then fold towel for a secondspray, wipe again using a cleanside on the towel and use more elbow grease.Never use the same towel on the windshield again until washed. Cheap solution and no scratches. My wife also keeps a bundle of these for use in the house. Maybe thats because she started using mine for furniture polish and I flipped out:shock:
