What year as the 83 is longer than the 82. You can put an 83 on an 82 if you get the trunk rack off an 83 or get a trunk relocater kit for the 82 rack. Do I have any of them, no. Just info for you and those who might have one for you.
You can still get an aftermarket seat in your color preference. It would be new foam and hold up longer than a used stock seat as the threads and vinyl would be getting weak on that age seat.
