Have '95 GL1500SE. HAD Austone on it but due to owning sidecar rig, higher tire caused too much rpm drop on me, so it was sold. Does anyone w/GL1500 have a Goodyear Assurance rear tire mounted? If yes, can you tell me your exact wheel height? Trying to compare tires. Have new E3 now w/25 1/2" wheel height from garage floor. Need one @ OEM m/c tire height or LESS. TTFN....Old tom :)

I am running the Assurance, I am not real happy with it, I am running it at 50 psi and 6 oz of beads..
I get a wobble at about 75 mph, as well as a wobble in the turn, and it seems pretty bad at low speed turns. this winter I will be going back to a MC tire.
I loved the Wintersport I had before, but it has been discontinued.
I love the grip of the Assurance, but the wobble is nasty

I use the Assurance on my Wing and Corolla, love them both, I run Max pressure in all my tires. I measure 11-1/2" from floor to axle - so I guess 23" total height ??
mechtech1 - perhaps 6 oz is too much for the beads, I only use 3 oz in C/T's :?

I tried it with 2 oz and it was really bad
added 4 more, (I was short on time to get on the road to NASSIR6)
and it got better, but still have the problem.

Try increasing the air pressure a bit at a time to stiffen the sidewall ..:?

Sorry we got off thread
My Assurance, as best I can measure it on the bike
is 11.5 in. from the center of the axle to the outside of the tire
which should give you 23 in. total standing height of the tire

Hope this helps
