I was riding my 82 interstate today and I notice the the turn indicators did not auto turn off. did all 82s come with self cancelling indicators? if so is there any way to check the unit.:stumped::stumped::stumped:

My 1982 indicators turn off 75% of the time. Usually after a stop and turn with acceleration they work okay.

There are a number of components to look at; the switch, the speedo and the angle sensor.

first easy thing to check i think, would be the speed cable. is ur speedometer working? i think is the only mechanical part of the system or the most prone to fail.
