Sup, fellas
I own a 1987 Honda Goldwing GL1200A Aspencade. I bought the bike from a mechanic that said he couldn't figure out how to get the start button to work. I havent figured that out either yet but in posting on the overall should-do's for bring an 87 that has sat and/or barely ridden any for years. First off, I did run. When I bought it, it ran kinda rough especially at lower RPMs but aside from that. I was impressed. Ran into a starting problem the other day, got all plugs and plug wires working and firing. Then I realized that the bike as an whole needs an overall servicing. Can someone give me a detailed list of must-do's in servicing my GL1200?

Thanks,

marshall

Oil
Oil filter
Air filter
Cambelts at that age
Plugs + possibly caps
Maybe throttle cables DO NOT lube them as Honda cables dont like it, the outer is rubber lined whilst the inner is nylon covered and oil makes the linings swell and drag

Then when it runs
Rear hub oil
Fork oil
Check headrace and wheel bearings
Tyre(s) probably age cracked so need changing
