After spending hours pouring over and absorbing some of your great how-to's and where for's, I decided to sign on and join the crew. The weather up here in Paradise, 90 miles north of Sacramento, is turning perfect and last week I picked up a nice non-runner 1982 GL1100I to travel on. I previously owned a '78 GL1000 years ago but it came and went along with a number of other projects. I've owned and been owned by about 70+ bikes over the years, most came home on in a van or trailer and some actually came back to life so I know how to use a screwdriver as a chisel, pry bar or most anything else. Throw in a hammer, a large Vise-Grip and a Crescent wrench and viola...a complete set of tools! Oh, duct tape and bailing wire are considered essentials. Actually, I've aquired a few decent tools and skills like welding, electrical and common sense which I've tried to implement in motorcycling and life, not to complete sucess tho...
