Hi has anyone thought of fitting the Wing with silicon hoses, I use them in my Toyota Supra MK3 to great effect. So does anyone make a set for the GL1000 and on? :)

Welcome to the forum Ian

Are you asking about brake hoses? Most are going to stainless steel hoses as they are readily available.

Why silicon over stainless steel? Do you use the dot5 in them or dot4 brake fluid? Dot5 is not recommended in the wings as the seals will fail?

Silicone is typically for the vacuum and/or cooling hoses. It is longer lasting than the rubber. It is a common upgrade for those with muscle cars or Broncos where Ford used cheesy plastic vacuum lines that break with age.

These silicon hoses were also used the the Crown Victoria Police Intercepter. All the cooling hoses where made from silicone. I know a a few of the Chevy Caprices that also used them.
