Mine sat for 3 years, after I got the carbs sorted it used to smoke when warm, white smoke. Done the seafoam in the oil for about 200 miles then dropped the oil and changed filter, no sign of smoke for the last 4000 miles, not even on start up after laying on the side stand. Seafoam can lube the top end when you put it in the gas, maybe the rings need to be freed, enough seafoam should do the job. Worth investing in a bottle of the magic foam and putting some miles on the clock.
