A man wakes up in the hospital, bandaged from head to foot.

The doctor comes in and says, "Ah, I see you've regained
consciousness. Now, you probably won't remember, but you were

in a pile-up on the freeway. You're going to be
okay, you'll walk again and everything, but something
happened. I'm trying to break this gently, but the fact is, your

willy was chopped off in the wreck and we were unable to find it."

The man groans, but the doctor goes on, "The good news
is you've got $9000 in insurance compensation coming and we have

the technology now to build you a new willy that will work as well as

your old one did, and better in fact! But the thing is, it doesn't come

cheap. It's $1000 an inch."

The man perks up at this.

"So," the doctor says, "it's for you to decide how many inches you

want. But it's something you'd better discuss with your wife.
I mean, if you had a five inch one before, and you decide to go

for a nine incher, she might be a bit put out. But if you had a nine

inch one before, and you decide only to invest in a five incher this

time, she might be disappointed. It's important that she plays a role

in this. Making decisions together will help you through this tough time."

The man agrees to talk with his wife.

The doctor comes back the next day. "So,' says the doctor, 'have you spoken
with your wife?"

"I have," says the man.

"And has she helped you in making the decision?"

"Yes, she has," says the man.

"And what is it?" asks the doctor

"We're getting granite countertops."

After reading this, I did a (little) Net search on the subject and (consolidated) found these ditties. (I renarrated it, was rather long)

.. back in the 40'sand 50's all woman wanted was furs. (woman took care of the home)
.. back in the 60's all they wanted was tossing there bras and demanding "Woman's Lib". (woman still took care of the home)
.. back in the 70's "Woman's Lib" continued and progressed. To which they gave us Disco. (dance, yuk) (woman took care of the home and worked part time)
.. back in the 80's it was becoming MORE about money and less disco. (thank god). (woman didn't want to keep taking care of the home)
.. back in the 90's... money complaints continued and became more about taking the man's high stature job positions. (woman wanted men to take care of the home like she once did)
.. back in the 2K's, it was how they did take mans high stature job positions. Many are gloating over it.

So, nowwe're up to date.... what's happening?
Men are becoming stay at home "House Husbands" while the woman works. BUT!!! all is not well. . .
Woman now COMPLAIN!!! men are do nothings around the house. BUT woman don't see men are saving money by keeping up the home in a way the woman never did/could/wanted to. Men are repairing "X" to which saves money on said parts. OH, and the housework too.
Woman never did house repairs before. All they said was, "Call him for this and that", where-as back then the mans money paid for said, "this & that because HIS income covered thathired repairman charges. Woman's income now just barely pays for family basics.

Question is. . . are you STILL glad you got your "woman's lib"?

Is there a moral to the story?
Woman bit off way more than they can chew, or want tochew, and can't pay the price.
Wasn't it grand when woman took care of the home while the man was "the bread winner".All she had to do was a couple of hours housework per day (kids if there were any) then the rest of the day as free time to, chat, visit, shop, play bridge or bunko or . . . .
YUP, it's all upside down andAssBackWards now.
SO. ...... Is anybody "REALLY" happy these days?

Then why is the old TV show, "Andy of Mayberry" in such high demand for reruns?
Yup, life was good. . . . once upon a time.

All this for what?_____ "Granite countertops."
"Believe it...... or not" :D

that's about right, except in my house. I work and my wife stays at home and takes care of the house. She also makes candles and other things to sell in shops as a hobby (at least for now)
