Here are some pictures of the setup I pot together for rebuilding my forks. I haven't done the springs yet but will take more pictures when they come in and I install them.
Basically what I did was bore holes into a work bench that correspond with the fork mounts in the top of the triple tree.
Once the forks are compressed slightly and inserted int he holes...
The triple tree top can be clamped on.
The bottoms of the sliders are held up off the floor when the triple tree top is clamped on.
They can also be raised up a bit through the holes in order to drain the oil.
I also clamped the triple tree top in a vice.
This allowed me to clamp the fork tube securely without the likely hood of damaging it that you would have just clamping it in a vice.
Very handy!!
I intend to use the holes in the bench for when i install the new Progressive springs.
