Wild Rhinos/Goldwingfacts.com Southeast Meet and Greet has been finally set! April 14-16 at the Best Western in Dayton, TN
I know all the people I tagged will not make it because of being too far away but I just wanted to let you know that you are thought of and missed. The room rate is $94.99 per night for two queen beds. Call 423-775-6560 for reservations and mention SE M&G for the group rate. The hotel is being completely renovated and should (hopefully) be completed upon our arrival. The facility meets our requirements including parking for bikes in front of rooms and truck/trailer parking for you long haulers, hot breakfast, and a gathering area in the back to socialize. Mr. Marc McDaniel is local to the area and will provide a great tour guide to some awesome riding and waterfalls that I never knew existed! I will be announcing this on the forum as well. A special shoutout to Marc McDaniel for helping me pull this together as the venue in MS and the Nachez Trace fell apart for this year. I hope to see you you there in Dayton, TN!

Was there, bunch of great people as usual. Rode all the way back to little rock today. I'm tired. Weather was going down hill till Monday so I drove home. Should hav gone Dave. Beautiful country.
As always we had a wonderful time. Nice scenery and good roads . Great folks to share time with .

I'm still out on the road. I made it to Tupelo going down Natchez Trace from beginning at Pasquo Tn on Sunday.
Monday, I made it the rest of the way to Natchez and then swung up to Rayville, LA by night. I only saw 1 Park Ranger the entire way but that wasnt until I got off for fuel. I still stayed right at the speed limit the entire way.
On Tue, I swung over to El Dorado, AR and ran Highway 7 up to Harrison. I got to meet 2 of Arkansas' Finest just 18 miles from Harrison where I was going a tad over speed limit as I was a bit excited about stopping for the night. I thought I had left the town but didn't realize the speed limit was still not 55 yet. 😳 They were actually very nice and let me off with a warning. Thank you!!! Kinda strange that these are the first officers that have wanted to talk to me this entire trip. 😜
Today, I went all the way to Lead Hill, AR and then slid west to Rogers AR after popping into Eureka Springs then down 23 and ended up on 12 all the way into Rogers. I will be here until Sun. I am meeting up with a bunch of folks off another big Goldwing forum.
The plan is to be back in Silver Lake, WI by Mon early evening and will post again once I've landed...

Sorry I missed you Dave. I had probably headed out of Harrison by the time you were at Jasper. will have to catch up with you the next time I get close.

Well I finally landed safely back in Wisconsin. I have just over 3300 more miles than I had leaving 2 weeks ago. Now to start getting the maintenance done that I didn't want to tackle before the trip like changing brake and clutch fluid and air filter. And to tackle a few of the problems that came up like the failed right side heated grip, some wiring to the lights on the trike floorboards, a screw for the right side Air Wing... And lastly, a new lens for the right fog light that a deer's hoof kicked as it raced across in front of me in a right sweeper while I was running about 60mph in the rain on Hwy 16 near Rogers, AR... I'm just glad that's all that happened as it could have been much, much worse.
Glad you are home. You had a long trip. I'm tired just reading about it ! I want my screw back ! 😆 Just kidding. LOL
Connie and I got home late Tuesday the 25th. We had a wonderful time at the meet, seeing old friends and talking with new. We stayed an extra day letting the storm front move through, giving us wonderful weather for all but the last day of our trip. We went up into Kentucky, down into Virginia, down through Tennessee and over the Smoky Mts into N.C., S.C to Myrtle Beach, South to Georgia, SW to Florida, then North in Alabama to Troy (to visit a friend), then west through Mississippi, North in Arkansas to Little Rock and West to OK and home. 3169.7 miles for the trip. One of these days I'll get the courage to add up our motel and gas bills, but not now I'm taking some down time.
