Trying to trace a prob with the rear two cylinders not firing. Have eliminated the coils and the plug leads. I'm now at the spark igniters. The two on this machine are wired in with different colours to each set. I have found out that each one works with a particular coil. I have switched the coils and the same area still is blank.

even though the colours are different can I switch over the spark igniters without fear of further damage.

Also do the two igniters have to isolated from each other on the mounting bolt by and washer.

Just out of interest the goldie on two cylinders is like riding a triumph!

It's my understanding that the igniters are interchangeable. And on both of my bikes and on a friends bike there is nothing between them. So I'm thinking there is no need to separate them.

Cheers again broken winger. You've been a great help before and then again.

Just finished this job. Thanks for the info about the switching. I got a couple of second hand spark boxes and all is now well.

Thanks again
