Yesterday my speedo drive gear went out . . again. This my third one to fail in the last 4,000 miles. The first one may or may not have been original. The last two were ones I found on ebay. I put a new speedo cable on after the first failure. Those plastic parts inside the gear box are failing. Anyone know, does Honda sell an OEM for this?

Thanks, Chuck

The speedometer may be binding putting too much strain on the gear. Disconnect the cable at the bottom and see how hard it is to turn, should turn very easily.
