Hi,I think Ive got a problem.My speedometer quit working,took cable loose from speedometer gearboxand put drill on cable and my speedometer still works.I think my gearbox is not working right.It is a 82 goldwing interstate.When i spin my front wheel foward the thing inside the gearbox dont spin.When i spin it backwards it does.Is something broke inside gearbox.What do i need to do?I know this is the place to come,with yalls help i was able to put timing belts on it and she still runs like a charm,but Ive got to have a speedometer,I dont want no speeding tickets,Thanks

Yep....the gearbox is broken. It is a part that I believe is still available. I know mine is only $50 from http://www.hdlparts.com


This is your part number: 44800-MB0-013 and it is $56.76 (number 10 on the Front Wheel fiche).

They dont have a gearbox for my model.Do you know anywhere else i might could get one.Thanks

www.BikeBandit.com says they have it...but they want $78

www.hondaparts-direct.com has it listed but call them to make sure.

I did a Google search for Honda Motorcycle Parts Online and come up with a bunch ofsites.
