Hi lads & lasses.

I know it has been a while since I actually posted, but I have been reading a little here and there.:waving:

Suffice to say with the weather we have been having recently, the old 1200 has been adding a few miles to it's clock.

I am hoping to make Bandon and Dingle in the next few weeks, in case there is any gremlins to exorcise, before making a trip to Holland in September. Can't wait for that one!!:clapper:

One little question that I would like to put to any Irish Wingers, (or bikers), that frequent this forum, is about the fabrication of stainless steel exhaust systems, or more to the point, fabricators.

You see, at work, we have a '79 CB750KZ that we use as a runaround; and basically the exhaust is shot.:(

Last year, while on the PC,I came acrossone picture of a 'flyer'from a crowd called CBF. One line on thier 'flyer' said "Stainless Exhausts. No style too complicated".

We would like to get a stainless 4-4 system to match the originals, because according to David Silver, this system is now a discontinued item. They do have some pieces left, but not the pieces we need.:baffled:

As far as I can ascertain, these people worked from somewhere in Cork or the Cork area, but when I tried the number on the 'flyer', it was out of date, and the number that I found in the phone book was no longer in service.:stumped:

I believe the initials stand for Custom Bike Fabricators, but I would not be 100% sure of that. If anyone can help, it would be appreciated. That KZ is starting to sound a bit like an old tractor at present.:?

Thanks.

Phil.

If Ireland is anything like the UK, it will probably be cheapre to buy a Motad stainless system than getting one made. Stainless custome made pipes tend to be an arm and a leg job. :bash:
Words of wisdom indeed. But if one intends to keep the machine, it don't really matter.

I have done some searching, and the only people that come close is a crowd called Gazelle. http://www.gazbike.demon.co.uk/ They do a mean looking set for GL1200, but for other size 'Wingsand prices I guess an e-mail or two will need to be sent.

We were having a bit of a rapore via e-mail, but that was cut short 'cos the boss said thier stuff don't match the original. It was close enough for me, but not for him.:baffled:

It was on a search of some sort that I came across CBF, and I was hoping that someone may know of thier whereabouts. We were hoping to deal locally.
