Boy, it's been twenty years since I've messed with a Type II radio,

When you say "I have recently installed a type II clarion radio intercom on my wifes 1100", does that mean that the bike had the Clarion Type II radio on it and you added the intercom junction box, (The piece with the auxillary inputs i.e. Intercom, Cassteet Deck, C.B.)

I don't recall anyone except Honda making a "Kit" to add a C.B. and they were rare in their day, early '80's.

If anyone may have a clue as how to integrate a C.B. into the Type II it would be either J&M Corp

http://www.J&M.com/

or Sierra Electronics

http://www.sierra-mc.com/

It seems that since J&M came out with their all in one handlebar mounted unit, everyone else just sells that.

Wow, you are persistant to go through all that.

I remember in the '80's working at the Honda shop, it was difficult finding the parts then.

Continue the search for the Type II. Try the salvage yards. Did you see the post about the salvage yard that specializes in 4 cylinder Gold wings in San Antonio ?

"Get ahold of Smitty (Al) down in Seguin. Near San Antonio. His number is 830-560-1872. He said I could post his number. He parts out 4 cylinder Goldwings exclusively.

Raymond"

Markland may have made an adapted Midland unit that plugged into the Intercom, with a "Y"

If I remember correctly it was one of those all in the Mic. units.
