I AM HAVEING TROUBLE WHEN I TRY TO START IT UP, THE BATTERY IS 4 MONTHS OLD AND I CHARGE IT 1-2 TIMES A WEEK AFTER TRYING TO WORK ON THE GOLDWING EVERY TIME I HIT THE START BUTTON THE STARTER WILL TRY TO TURN THE MOTOR OVER BUT IT JUST CAN'T DO THE JOB. AND I HAVE CHECKED FOR SPARK At the plugs and that's fine. it's allmost like the starter is not strong enough for it. or like there is so much compression in the engine it can't turn it over.

i do have many other questions but let me get it started first and then i will ask anouther favor from you guys!

thanks a lot for all your help!!!!

Hello Tim
Your starter need an overhaul, its finished, worn out ! It's a well known problem for the GL1100 and GL1200. I had the same problem with my GL1200 until I got a repaired "new" starter then it works again. Its also well known that the starter has bigger problems with turning the engine when the engine has been running for a while and you want to start it again.
