I have a 2002 gl 1800. I’m replacing the above mentioned part, however, when I removed the old one, I didn’t pay attention to the 4 colored wired connectors inside the boot as to which one went to what post. Can anyone help me when I install the new one as to what goes where. Thanks a bunch!

They aren’t color coded?
most likely yours was just dirty though.

The wires are color coded but not the posts you attach them to.

They are different size terminals, put the small ones on the small, large on large, doesn't matter which side.

That’s what I was going with when I saw the different sized terminals but just wasn’t sure which ones went where. That’s real good to know. Thanks!
