Depending on outside air temp, I can get my '99 to start with about 2/3 choke on a warm day after sitting for 8 hours. But it always seems to need a little choke after sitting for an hour or so.:waving:
I have not found that necessary for mine but I must say it is really a 'cold natured' beast! 90+ degree days in July and August it is still necessary to use full choke on the first start of the day. 'Warms up' in a couple of minutes at those temps, and don'thaveto use choke again that day, but still have to use choke on first start of the day?
Mine is the same as racingbanker16....... push the choke lever down about half way till you hit a "click" feeling........ not all the way down. It will fire right up and run about 1500 rpm's. I don't run the choke very long at all, and the choke is not needed the rest of the day.
