this is a great sight.

i realy apreciate having someplace

to ask these questions.

so...

dose anyone know where to find

the steering stem adjustment socket?

the manual recomends a torque of 11 lbs.

i do not believe that the bearing needs replaced,

or the adjustment nut itself, for that matter

although i was able to find those parts on line.

but not the socket tool that is needed to torque the nut.

the socket is mentioned and pictured on pages 12-40,12-42.

again, the manual gives a part #, 07916-3710100.

the number didn't help me much.

so where does one get a tool like this?

If you PM Bagmaster, he might be able to add your name to the tool loaner list. He has steering sockets and carb sync gauges available for loan.

Please check the requirements and rules before PM'ing me about the tool loaner programs. The steering stem socket we have in the tool loaner program fits only the 1500's and 1800's.
