Good evening to you all, I finally got around to installing my new Honda muffler. I never bothered to take a mental note on how my old holey muffler hung in camparision to the right side muffler. I installed the new muffler on the left sideand found out that the new muffler comes really close to the black tube for the saddle bag support system at the very rear of the bike. I cannot run my finger through the space between the leftrear part of themuffler and that black tube at the rearand yet my finger will easily fit between the space between the muffler and the black tube at the rear on the right side? My bike has never been in an accident so no bent tubes ect. My question for anyone who has changed mufflers, is if anyone has ever had to rebend that welded bracket on the muffler to get it to hang in a better fashion. As I look at the back of my bike, my mufflers hang with the left side exhaust tip hanginga little higher and closer to that black support tube for the side saddle bagthan the right side. :baffled:I know over time I will forget about this slight imprefection. Curious if your exhaust tips hang in a balanced fashion or is there a slight difference between sides? I am thinking about putting a pair of wide metal bender vise grips on that bracket and giving it a rebend to see if I can alter the hanging position of the muffler tips to match the right side. One would think that coming from a factory the specs would be easily matched. Maybe they always hung a little different and I just did not notice because of my dark shades and loud music?:cooldj
