good afternoon my fellow goldwing riders. OK my buddy striped his oil drain plug on a 1993 goldwing what is the best way to repair that.

The best way is with a thread insert.

The oil drain bolt is 14x1.5mm.

Those look like TimeSerts. I've heard they are better than HeliCoils, but much more expensive.

Thanks, I couldn't remember the name of them. Yes they are, on both counts. Best to find a shop that has them and let them do the job rather than buying the kit.

In an emergency, I've used a bottle stopper, the kind that has the little lever you press down which causes the rubber to expand into the hole. It's not really under any pressure but just don't use it as a permanent fix.
